Campus Gender and Development (GAD) Office spearheaded by the GAD Coordinator, Ms. Ruby F. Amado, organized activities in conduct of the celebration. The zumba took place at the campus grounds participated by the campus employees which promotes the need of exercise to strengthen physical body amidst pandemic.
To enhance wellness and relieve stress, free massage was offered for and availed by the campus employees. Due to the health and safety protocols, the massage was limited to back and head massage only. Massage is known to relieve pain and stress of a person by manipulating muscles and other soft tissues.
Extending the service, the GAD council not only distributed umbrellas, masks, and alcohols to the campus employees but also to the senior citizen vendors of Urdaneta City Plaza Market. The purpose of the activity was to make them feel appreciated and acknowledged with their contributions and sacrifices for their family and to the nation. They may be old and cranky, but women nonetheless.
