Being on par with national and international standards in terms of quality service delivery is the utmost concern of Pangasinan State University (PSU). As a clear manifestation of this noble pursuit, new infrastructure projects were launched in a back-to-back groundbreaking ceremony held in the campuses of Lingayen and San Carlos on May 30 and 31, respectively.
The construction of a three-storey Technical-Vocational (Tech-Voc) Training and Assessment Center is now in full swing in PSU Lingayen Campus. It is the first phase of the Grand Legacy Building Project that has a budget allotment of Php 19 million pesos with a floor area of 980 square meters. Meanwhile, the all-in-all phases of Grand Legacy will cover a total floor area of 11, 600 square meters along the oval area of the campus where the covered pathway is currently situated. It has a total budget allocation of Php 300 million pesos. The Tech-Voc building is expected for its full completion on May 2018, while the entirety of the Grand Legacy Building Project is targeted until 2020.

Meanwhile, an additional three-storey Academic Building in San Carlos Campus was started to build following the newly built Academic Building last 2016. The project has a budget allotment of 15 million pesos with a floor area of 1, 254 square meters.
The groundbreaking ceremonies of Tech-Voc and Academic Buildings were witnessed by the members of the Board of Regents, local government units of Lingayen and San Carlos, PSU Officials, faculty members and students.
These developments in PSU are formed part of its operational plans to provide excellent student learning and career development. Aside from these newly unveiled projects, there are also two-storey academic building and five-storey golden lion hotel under construction in Lingayen Campus. More so, the nine campuses had undergone various upliftments and repairments: construction of Infirmary, renovation of HM and Science Laboratories, Convention Hall, Capability Building Center, Dormitory, Food Center, classrooms and hallways, driveways, academic offices and learning resource centers.
The University is also investing not only in the physical facilities. PSU is also strengthening its Cultural, Hospitality Management, Sports, Research and Extension linkages in national and international locale.
Furthermore, PSUnians shall expect more from the University as it now gearing up for International Sustainability Assessment, Investors in People, Philippine Quality Award and implementation of ISO 9001:2015 criteria of Quality Management System to other campuses. Various buildings, renovations and equipment in the nine campuses like Gabaldon Building, Academic Buildings, School Canteen, Engineering Building, LED Boards, Aquatic Marine Research and Development Resource Center, Technology Building Phase II, Agriculture Analytical Laboratory for Western, Poultry House and many more, will be visible in the University in the following years.
Chelsy Khryss Nicolas, a third BSEd in English student said, “Since Dr. Dexter R. Buted took the mace of responsibility as the University President two years ago, I witnessed the good governance of his administration as there are many changes made in PSU and one of these is the establishment of new buildings in support for student learning. Of course, as a PSUnian I am very proud to say that I don’t have the need to go to private school just to experience quality education, because I’m already enjoying it here in PSU.”
With these operational and facility improvements, the University is continuously receiving commendations from international and national organizations like International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP), from faculty members, students, and communities.
