Pangasinan State University (PSU) was given a Sambayanang Itinataguyod ang Kaalamang Agrikultura at Pangisdaan (SIKAP) award by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Regional Training Center I in Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan, on March 7, 2018.
The award is giving recognition to the invaluable support and contribution of PSU to the programs, projects, and other activities in the attainment of ATI’s goals anchored to the growth and development of Agriculture and Fishery Sectors.
Prof. Benica S. Briones, University Extension Director, said that PSU through her office is mandated to focus its development efforts to relevant concerns of communities like in the areas of education, agriculture, fisheries, trade and industry, health and nutrition, computer literacy, local government administration, socio-economic and environment management.
She added that these areas are responsive to the immediate needs of communities that would help in improving their quality of life.
