PSU Binmaley Campus recently held its annual Sustainable Review Program to Achieve Success (SURE PASS), a flagship initiative of the Fisheries Program under the College of Fisheries and Environmental Sciences (CFES). This yearly review program is designed to equip fisheries professionals with essential knowledge, strategies, and support to excel in the licensure examinations.

Dr. Lemark M. Bautista, Dean of CFES, officially opened the program with remarks highlighting the significance of the SURE PASS initiative in preparing future fisheries professionals for their critical role in the industry. Dr. Marie Claire B. Briones, Campus Executive Director of PSU Binmaley, followed with an inspirational message, encouraging participants to strive for excellence and remain committed to their goals.

This year’s program featured insightful sessions on board examination strategies led by Mr. Raul V. Dela Peña, M.Sc., and Dr. Michelle Grace B. Aquino, both esteemed faculty members of CFES. Their practical advice and motivational insights boosted participants’ confidence and readiness for the upcoming licensure exams. Additionally, Ms. Melanie P. Melendez, another dedicated CFES faculty member, presented the house rules to ensure a smooth and productive review experience.

The event concluded with heartfelt closing remarks by Mr. John V. Bernardo, M.Sc., Chairman of the Fisheries Science Department, who emphasized the continued commitment of PSU to support its students and alumni through initiatives like SURE PASS. With Mr. Isaiah M. Diza as the Master of Ceremony, this year’s program reaffirmed PSU’s dedication to fostering academic and professional success among its Fisheries students and graduates.
