Pangasinan State University conducted an opening program earlier today for the accreditation and revisit of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines Inc. (AACCUP) to three campuses of the university.
Since travel and physical contact is still limited due to the Covid-19 outbreak, accreditors from different universities of other regions communicate with PSU through Microsoft Teams application. AACCUP is the very first agency to conduct its accreditation to PSU through online platform.
Said event was organized by the Office of the Vice President for Quality Assurance led by Dr. Elbert Galas at the Telesforo Boquiren Convention Hall, PSU Lingayen. University President acknowledged the accreditors for sharing their time to PSU despite the pandemic in a short message.
“I thank you all for joining us in creating a more responsive and relevant PSU. You have chosen to share your time and expertise with us despite the turmoil that continues to inflict the society today. Indeed, your undaunted commitment to help educational institutions continually improve in delivering quality services is greatly appreciated” , Dr. Buted stated. He also thanked the PSUnians for the immeasurable support and hardwork in elevating the university’s quality in education and service delivery.
Three programs in Lingayen campus namely, BS Information Technology, BS Computer Science, and BS Hospitality Management are aiming for Level II.
Three engineering programs in Urdaneta Campus specifically BS Civil Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering, BS Computer Engineering) is being evaluated for level 2. Accreditors will also revisit Area 9 of BS Architecture.
In Bayambang campus, only BS Nursing is accredited for Level 3 on Phase I.
Said event runs from October 12 to 16.
