Lingayen, Pangasinan – News anchor of TV Patrol North Central Luzon, Cris Zuñiga affirmatively stated, “I believe, being a scholar ng bayan means being a public servant. No matter what we become and achieve in life, we cannot deny the fact [that] our nation needs us – to become sealed , the beacon of hope, and channel of change.”
This was said by Zuñiga to give inspiration before the PSUnians as guest of honor and speaker during the 3rd Gawad Parangal held last April 04, 2017 at the PSU Convention Hall.
He emphasized in his talk that what will be the disposition of a student in the future is on how an institution molded them.
Meanwhile, he proudly shared that like PSUnians he was once a scholar ng bayan. He studied at the University of the Philippines-Baguio and he took BA Broadcasting Communication major. In his optimism and hardwork, he graduated as Cum Laude. He also noted that he is a product of a mother who served as a public school teacher.
