The continuation of the training series of the College of Engineering and Architecture took place last week, May 19-21, 2021 in Mauban, Balungao, Pangasinan.
The Electrical Engineering Department spearheaded by Engr. Socrates Nacis organized a 3-day training workshop on Basic Electrical Safety and House Wiring Installation.
The first day dealt on lectures on Basic Electrical safety by Engr. Roy Flores, Electrical Tools and Equipment by Engr. Jerome Patilla, and Electrical Joints and Splices and Their Applications by Engr. Jonas Agulan followed by training-workshop on the proper use of personal protective equipment, proper use of electrical tools and equipment, use of measuring tools (Multi-Tester), and wire slicing.
On the second day, the lectures continues with Engr. Socrates Nacis who talked about Electrical Plan/Lay-out for Basic House Wiring and Engr. Harry Errasquin who discussed the Basics of Electrical Installation. After the lectures, training-workshop on the preparation and interpretation of basic electrical drawings and house wiring installation (Lightings and Outlets), and PVC bending commenced.
To complete the training-workshop, practicum for the trainees was conducted and assessed by the faculty members of EE Department namely Engr. Ruben Nicolas, Engr. Alicia Angelo, and Engr. Jeanelyn Calip.
