One of the endorsed Gender and Development activities by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) and CHED Region I for the Implementation of GAD Unit is the conduct of gender sensitivity orientation
The Pangasinan State University Binmaley Campus GAD Unit, in coordination with the College of General Teacher Education and Allied Sciences, conducted a one-day Gender Sensitivity Orientation last June 10, 2021 (Thursday) to the men and women in Barangay Buenlag, Binmaley Pangasinan.
This activity was to improve the well-being of women and men; increase people’s awareness and understanding on gender responsiveness of system, policies and programs; to widen and enhance people’s knowledge and understanding for better personal and social adjustment, specifically, on the concept of sex and gender, sex roles and gender roles, gender division of labor and gender issues for the proper application of concepts and legislation in gender development; and to understand issues, problems and concerns on GAD and motivate the people to become advocates and practitioners in various stages of gender development.
Present at the event is the Director for Gender and Development Dr. Gilbert Moralista together with the GAD Coordinator, Ms. Gina Millamina and facilitated by Ms. Jean Camile Ermino; Prof. Mylene R. Abalos; Dr. Analyn S. Fernandez; Ms. Richelle A. Junio; Mr. Syrenzo Sicuan; Mr. Neno Carlo Udtuhan and Mr. Kurt Danlog and were attended by 25 selected residents of Barangay Buenlag, Binmaley, Pangasinan.
