Indeed, sense of fulfillment fills the air in the Mechanical Engineering department.

The Mechanical Engineering Department passed the second level accreditation held last December 6-8, 2016.

The accreditation was conducted by Accrediting Agency of the Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. The accrediting body looked into different areas, such as mission and vision, faculty curriculum and instruction, support to student’s research, extension, library, physical plant and facilities, laboratories, and administration.

The tremendous effort put forth in the preparation of documents and facilities paid off, as the department was granted Level II re-accredited status.

ME Department was able to meet the requirements to be accorded the level 2 status, as it has obtained 3.50 grand mean. To qualify for level 2 status, the department should meet a minimum area mean of 3.00. Having garnered more than what is required, the ME Department is proud to be given “very good” descriptive rating.
The above-mentioned rating reflects the concerted effort of the ME faculty headed by Engineer Marilou Fernandez, under the deanship of very able Engineer Resurreccion V. Garrote, Dean of College of Engineering and Architecture.
