BOOSTING EXCITEMENT from the faces of the PSUnians after months of lockdown due to the pandemic situation, a rehabilitated Audio Visual Room (AVR) is now waiting to be occupied by events after it was opened for inaugural blessing this November 18 (Wednesday).
The 6-million, new-faced facility can cater over 168 audiences and will provide a more comfortable ambiance thru its auditorium theater-type seats, and state-of-the-art materials and design.
“The rehabilitation made was based on our investigation after finding some problems and issues on the building,” said Mr. Jeffrey Apostol of Engineering Office.
Problems cited were dilapidated ceilings, dysfunctional comfort rooms, broken floor tiles, rusty steel chairs, and wrought lights.
Aside from the seats and design, another new to the said facility is its wall which is accompanied by an acoustic panel wall foam, making the AVR sound proof.
For the meantime since there are no student activities because of the restriction to face-to-face classes, the room is set to be installed with LED screen, high-end sound system, additional lightings, and carpet for the flooring.
The audio-visual room which is one of the most in-demand event centers in the campus already hosted some international events like Southeast Asian Conference on Academic Research and Mr. United Continents Preliminary Competition. Because of its interior, the administration is preparing to accommodate more events and activities, once it is formally open to the public. /mmpd
