The Our Lady of Purification Parish in Binmaley, thru our dynamic priests Msgr. Oliver Mendoza, Fr. Allan Abuan and Fr. Anthony Layog, had created various Ministries led by Head Stewards to continue the life and mission of the church such as Evangelization, Worship and Social Action. All the stewards must have undergone Pasimbalo Formation – an adult spiritual formation for the community, for the family and for one’s self.

This Pasimbalo is under the leadership of Jesusa “Liz” Sanchez” under  the supervision of the OLP priests. One of the essential programs of OLP is the Livelihood Program to extend help to the needy or to the lost, the least and the last.

As leader of Pasimbalo and PPDO Board of Director, Ms. Sanchez initiated to conduct  a Livelihood Training on  Fish Processing on Milkfish Deboning and Bottled Milkfish in Corn Oil which may help   parishioners earn a source of living as they venture into micro entrepreneurial activity especially during this time of pandemic. Hence, this proposal and request was lodged to the CED of PSU-Binmaley Campus, Dr. Roy Ferrer. This was immediately approved by the PSU Bin Administration. The Extension Coordinator Dr. Dominica Sajonas together with the PSU Bin Team composed of College of Fisheries and GTEAS  conducted this 2-day Training on Sept. 3-4, 2020.

Our OLP priests had actively participated in the training together with our Sisters and the  Pasimbalo and Muyungan Ministry with the Poor. It was indeed a very productive and meaningful endeavor because this is our first time to have  Priests and Sisters as participants in this kind of training.
